Bob Hood first joined the Gallia County Convention and Visitors bureau in 2001 after leaving a leadership position at a local business in Gallia County.
Bob has lived, worked and worshipped in Gallia County all of his life and developed a love for his home like none other.
It is not uncommon to see Bob working with his staff on long weekends, whether it be working the River Recreation Festival, Antique Car Shows in the Park, Gospel Singing in the Park, Tours at Bob Evans Farms or any of the many other events, Bob still enjoys greeting visitors and showing them why he loves Gallia County!

Karen McCarty started working at the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau in February 2008.
Karen and her family moved to Gallipolis in 1967 when her father received a job transfer and has been here ever since. After graduating from Gallia Academy High School, she started working at Gallia County Job and Family Services.
"When I retired from GCJFS, I wanted a part-time job that allowed me flexibility to spend time with my family and to continue working with the public. My position at the GCCVB has allowed both."
