Amanda Crouse

Amanda Crouse, a native of Gallia County joined the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2000 after receiving her Associates Degree in Business.  She  received her Bachelors Degree in Business Management at the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College.

During her time at the Visitors Bureau, she has served on many committees and boards within the community, assisting them with planning and coordinating events for the area. During her time at the Visitors Bureau she has developed several incentives to bring visitors to our area, such as the Southeast Ohio Tourism & Business Expo which has tripled in attendance and participation over the years. She has produced many publications that are distributed across the region marketing Gallia County to potential travelers and tour bus operators.

Amanda has two children, Gage and Wyatt, both of Gallipolis. 

 

Karen McCarty

Karen McCarty started working at the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau in February 2008.

Karen and her family moved to Gallipolis in 1967 when her father received a job transfer and has been here ever since. After graduating from Gallia Academy High School, she started working at Gallia County Job and Family Services.

"When I retired from GCJFS, I wanted a part-time job that allowed me flexibility to spend time with my family and to continue working with the public. My position at the GCCVB has allowed both."

 

Kaitlynn Halley

Kaitlynn Halley has recently taken over the Assistant Director position at the Bureau.  She is a native of Gallia County and has volunteered with the Bureau for several years as well as completing her internship here last year.  She is a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelors Degree in Human and Consumer Sciences, majoring in Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism and a minor in Business.  Kaitlynn left her Travel Consultant position in Columbus to return to Gallipolis because this is where her true passion lies, local tourism.  When she's not at the Bureau, she enjoys reading, crafting and a is a huge Harry Potter fam.  Kaitlynn and her husband, Mackenzie reside in Rio Grande with their cat, Sox. 

Lori Taylor

Administrative Assistant

Lori Taylor was born and raised in Gallia County and a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and Gallipolis Career College.  She is also a 4-H Advisor for Ridge Kids 4-H Club and loves to watch the kids show and exhibit their projects.  In addition, she also volunteers her time with other organizations in Gallipolis.  In her pasttime, she enjoys watching Gallia Academy football (rarely misses a game), supporting her little sister in her activities, making crafts and spending time with her loved ones.
