2015 Gallia County Farmers Market

The Gallia County Farmers Market begins its season on Saturday May 2nd. New for the 2015 season the vendors will be located inside the Gallipolis City Park in the area that runs along State Street. The street will remain open, the Market Board of Directors hopes this will increase traffic as it opens up parking spots located on State Street.

The Gallia County Farmers Market is now able to accept EBT payment from credit/debit cards and the Ohio Direction Card (formally known as the food stamp card) for the second year. It was a huge success last season and they are proud to offer this to our community.

The Market offers fresh seasonal produce, homemade pies, breads and other baked goods, locally made cheese, homemade jams and jellies made from local produce, locally grass-feed beef and chicken, homemade fudge and candies, seasonal fruit and many other items. The Market will run from May 2nd to October 31st.

The Gallia County Artisans Market will be joining the Farmers Market for the second year on Saturdays. They offer locally handmade goods-jewelry, soaps, salves, scarves, woodworking, paintings, dreamcatchers, knitted items, woven baskets and many more.

The Market location and hours:

  • Every Thursday, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, located on Jackson Pike,  next to the Gallia County Jr. Fairgrounds and behind the Medical Shop.
  • Every Saturday, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, at the Gallipolis City Park along State Street.

For any questions regarding the market, or if you would like to become a vendor, please contact the Gallia County Extension office at 740-446-7007. You can also visit The Gallia County Farmers Market on Facebook.
